KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling

In my school you’ll find my wildly popular KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling Course. This course was described as having “sparked a bonfire of joy” on the MDK website. KNITSONIK Bullet Journaling shows you how to make your journal home and to create, within its pages, a place of uplift, self-care, creativity, cheerleading and kind self-management. There are lists, and plans; dreams and schemes; but they’re made with love and masses of fun and washi tape.

Colour at Play

You’ll also find Colour at Play. This course shows you how to explore and fall in love with colours through joyous creative play. Like the rainbow, it comes in seven parts. We begin by contemplating colour in daily life through colour walks and colour matching, then progress through exercises that include creating palettes inspired by objects we love; embracing colour mistakes; wearing more colours in daily life; and playing different colour games ranging from finding a rainbow to playing shade card bingo. Colour at Play builds skills and confidence for working with colour and comes with a massive and enabling course handbook. There are printables for every exercise in the course, but you are also encouraged – if you use one – to record your progress in your bullet journal.

The KNITSONIK System

My flagship course. I made this course for those of you who want to sit down with an inspiration source and turn it into stranded colourwork. With a rich collection of instructional videos, this course walks you through the process of turning daily life into stranded colourwork designs. Starting with picking a palette, we then go onto drawing out first motifs and casting on our swatch. From here we trial our shading sequences and use the canvas of the knitting as a place to explore and develop our ideas. This is a self-paced course, but there is an Agony Aunt feature through which I create video responses to individual problems, and I’m regularly present in the comments to cheerlead you on, and to ensure your success in translating everyday life into stranded colourwork design. I’ve no plans to teach this class in person anywhere in the future, so this is currently the best way to explore ideas from the KNITSONIK Stranded Colourwork Sourcebook and Playbook in a workshop format. At the end of the course you’ll find accessory pattern blanks onto which you can apply your own stranded colourwork designs!
