Collection zines

Tomorrow in the first Collage and zine with me class, we are celebrating collections. I thought this would be such a super theme, as I’m guessing many of us are collectors!

To practice for the theme, I took three of my favourite collections: postage stamps from the Machin series; dots (stickers, washi tape and scraps of dotted giftwrap, paperbags and other stationery I like to hoard); and my collection of hand-carved beach find rubber stamps. I then stuck / stamped them onto paper, per my evolving (other collection) of one-page zine templates…

…snippy, snippy, snippy… foldy foldy foldy… and I have three little zines celebrating different collections.

This is rather addictive.

I’ve made a time-lapse showing how I put each of these together that you can see on my site (but not in your email inbox) and if you think that this looks like fun and have a collection you’d like to celebrate in zine-format, join us tomorrow and every Tuesday morning through August for joyful and creative zine-making!

This offering is free for Journal to me members but for everyone else it costs £20 to access all four classes. If the time zone doesn’t work for you, the recordings will be available to watch for six months after sign-ups.

See you there?

Yours in all the collections, Fx
